Premier League club Arsenal will be looking to sign a new right-back in the summer and are already resigned to losing the current defender who plays in that position, Hector Bellerin when the summer transfer window opens for business. According to several reports, the Spanish defender is fed up with life at the Emirates and wants to move on in search of a new club to see if he can win titles before the end of his career.
It has caused Arsenal to start early plans in the hunt for a perfect replacement in the summer, and a couple of names have been lined up. First, it’s Brighton and Hove Albion defender Tariq Lamptey who makes it to the list. The English defender has been attracting a lot of interest from several of the English Premier League’s big clubs and could also leave the Seagulls this summer in what would be a huge blow to Brighton.
The next player that had been mentioned to be of interest to Arsenal is Tottenham’s Kieran Trippier. Also an English defender, Trippier was allowed to leave Spurs last season and join Atletico Madrid on loan where he has been given the opportunity to become a different player. At Atletico, Trippier was offered enough football minutes and has taken the opportunity well too.
His performances for the Rojiblancos have not gone unnoticed either, with talks of him being linked to Arsenal surfacing early last week. If things go as planned, Arsenal could sign the defender in the summer as Bellerin’s replacement.
